In just 1 hour/week you can help Spanish-speaking teachers improve their English conversational skills

We need English-Speaking teachers to volunteer for online conversations with Mexican teachers. This is a teacher-to-teacher program for one hour/week, for three months.

We have been inundated with requests! Says Bethany Brown Martin, PSD Retiree and Country (Mexico) Director for Sueños Compartidos.

Sueños Compartidos is an education development program in which volunteers teach English in support of the public education systems in Columbia and Mexico. With COVID-19, they are unable to have in-person classes in Mexico this summer.

The commitment is for one hour a day for three months: day, time, topics and platform (Skype, Zoom, What’sApp, etc.) will be determined together.

We Need You!

Become a Colorado Ambassador by volunteering at the Colorado Welcome Center. Help promote Colorado to visitors and help support your local community. Meet people from all over the world and help others experience all that the state has to offer, while making new friends.

Some of our volunteer benefits include volunteer parties, day trips, appreciation banquets and picnics, and meeting other locals with similar interests. We have informative training programs and speakers, as well as flexible shifts. Our program also provides statewide educational travel to promote education for our volunteers with qualifying parameters.

Become a Tour Guide for the Avery House!

If you enjoy working with groups of children and are interested in Fort Collins history, this volunteer opportunity is perfect for you. The Avery House would like to increase the opportunities for school children, usually second graders, to tour the house as they are studying the early years in our city.

We are seeking to recruit school tour guides and develop a list of volunteers we can contact when schools express an interest in a tour,  typically scheduled for two hours on a weekday.

Tour guides will be provided with written materials as well as an orientation to the house, and an Avery House docent will always be present and involved in the tour. We will send out an email request for volunteers when a tour is booked, and if you are available you can confirm. For more information, please contact Coreen Boeding at cboeding@comcast.net or the Poudre Landmarks Foundation. 221-0533 or poudrelandmarks@gmail.com
