As former school district employees, one of our mission statements is to support public education. One way we do that and give back to the community is through our scholarship program, which began in 1987 as the I.K.Boltz Scholarship. The first two students were honored in 1988, each receiving a scholarship of $500. As costs have risen over the years, we have increased the awards to cover tuition, books and fees, with 5-7 recipients annually.
Our committee reaches out to all area high schools, looking for worthy students who plan to attend Front Range Community College. We review the applications, interview applicants, speak to teachers and school staff before making our decisions.
The students who apply for our scholarships are typically young people who would most likely be unable to attend college without outside financial support. Many of the students who receive the scholarships are the first in their families to attend college. Our scholarships not only provide financial certainty for their education, but take that strain off the families as well. It enables recipients to have life changing experiences during and after their college education.
We encourage you to support these worthy students by donating to our scholarship program. Contact co-chair Laurie Cullor (ldcullor @gmail.com) or Pam Kilness (pkilness14@gmail.com) with any questions you may have.
It's easier than ever to donate to the Scholarship Fund
FUNDING
